This Web site is exclusively devoted to Olympic fanatics.

It will provide the ranking by country for each olympic event (e.g. Track and Field 100 meter dash men) and for each sport and olympic (e.g. Track and Field 1900 Paris).
The ranking is performed neither according to gold medal nor medal total but according to points (3 points for a gold, 2 for a silver and 1 for a bronze). If two countries have the same point total, the country with more gold medals will be ranked first. In some cases, you will find "half medals": In the early Olympics, some people had unprecise nationality, therefore two countries shared the medal.
It includes all Olympic results from Athens 1896 to Athens 2004 (when the sport is completed).
